National Sovereignty And Children's Day
The Great Leader Mustafa Kemal Ataturk has declared April 23, 1920, when the first Parliament was opened, as our Children's Day at the same time, and our great leader once again showed his unique leadership on the world scale. Founded ninety-eight years ago, our young Republic has settled in all its institutions and rules in spite of many difficulties during this period and the Turkish nation has absorbed Atatürk's Principles and Revolutions, the basic principles Republic.
The most important founding philosophy of our Republic is sovereignty, without any condition and reservation, belongs to the nation, absolutely certain that any political, economic, domestic and foreign decisions that concern our country are only for the Turkish nation, that no other country or foreign institutions have the right to sovereignty in these decisions or that the sovereignty certainly cannot be allowed to remains partly or totally abandoned to any kind of surrender political formations. In the indivisible integrity of our country and framework of constitutional principles our goal as an independent country to reach the level of contemporary civilization under the leadership of reason and science and to go beyond it. The Turkish nation, which has been created by a common history and cultural accumulation for thousands of years, has the power and ability to find solutions and solve all its problems. Every generation has to and responsible to leave a better to Turkey to the next generation. This is our primary duty to our country and children who are tomorrow's elders.
We celebrate the feast of our nation and our children, and with this respect we revere once again our great leader who bestowed on us these days.
